Additional information:
Play Description (a premiere): Petunia Valley's fresh new community
theatre and the town's ancient agricultural society don't have much in
common. But money woes throw the two groups into an unlikely and rickety
partnership to fundraise for a new building that will house sheep and
Shakespeare. Old grudges threaten to bring the project to a grinding
halt.

a) Male actor: Fred Pargeter - age 34, a farmer in rural Ontario.
A University grad in Agriculture, Fred is a hard-working, intelligent
farmer who has expanded the family farm into large agricultural
business. He has been married to Lorie for 10 years.

b) Female actor: Lorie Pargeter - age 33, a small town Ontario girl.
A University grad in Fine Arts, Lorie is artistically bent and
intelligent. She's been married to Fred for ten years having met late in
University studies.

c) Male actor: Grant Stegner - age 36, city born, bred and educated.
Grant is the new professional Artistic Director of the Persephone Little
Theatre Society in Port Petunia. Grant has a very creative mind masking
a shallowness of character, and the slightly smarmy charm of a ladies'
man.

Audition Requirements: Please prepare two contrasting contemporary comic
monologues.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
