Rainbow Stage is now accepting electronic submissions from actors of all ethnicities, religions, ages (16+), sizes, shapes and orientations for our 60th Anniversary Season production of A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline.  The show chronicles Patsy Cline's rise to stardom, from her humble beginnings in small town Virginia to the bright lights of Carnegie Hall; this is the intimate story of a powerful woman with an unforgettable voice. 

In an effort to reduce paper consumption, Rainbow Stage is only accepting online submissions. 

While we thank you for submitting your materials electronically and your interest in our 60th Anniversary Season, only actors selected for an audition will be contacted with an appointment.

Patsy Cline female; 25+,  lead                                                                         Able to handle a crowd with a song. Glamorous, down-to-earth, outspoken, loves to sing, generous, warm-hearted, with a gifted voice.  Ability to impersonate Patsy Cline's vocal quality is a must.

Little Big Man male; 40 +, supporting                                                                      A mid-age southern, warm, friendly, and funny small town disc jockey, does announcer gigs and comedy routines on the local scene as well.

Jordanaire/Grand Ole Opry Comic male; bass 25 +,  supporting                                           Member of a good looking country singing quartet who back Patsy up.  Comedic timing, and a sense of old country humour a must

Jordanaire/Vegas Comic male; tenor 25 +,  supporting                                                   Member of a good looking country singing quartet who back Patsy up.  Comedic timing, and a Henny Youngman style of lounge comedy (popular in Vegas showrooms of the 50's and 60's) is a must.

Jordanaire/Carnegie Hall Comic male; baritone 25 +,  supporting                    Member of a good looking country singing quartet who back Patsy up.  Comedic timing, and ability to play banjo or ukulele is a must.
