This is a contract position from February to September 2014. Work hours are variable; work offsite is permissible. Remuneration is $5,000. Additional information:

Reporting to the Education Manager, the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT COORDINATOR will coordinate the Master class series which occurs during the Gateway Theatre's Pacific Festival in August 2014.

The successful candidate is a thorough, detail-oriented, creative worker with strong communication skills and a passion for professional development in theatre arts. 

To be a successful candidate you must have:
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese and English
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Refined communication skills
- Budget management skills
- Excellent support skills

DUTIES include:
D Organize and coordinate two 2-day Professional Development workshops
- Devise Call for Submissions material in concert with Communications Dept
- Research and make recommendations re: local and national distribution of Call for Submissions
- Create itinerary
- Liaise with instructors in concert with Pacific Festival Producer
- Process applications in concert with Pacific Festival Producer and Gateway Theatre Artistic Director
- Plan and arrange two events
- Arrange flight and accommodations for participants and for instructors
- Act as Host to participants; research and provide visiting guest materials
- Provide support to participants and instructors prior to, during and post Master Classes, as needed
- Manage PD budget
- Other duties, as required
