Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: 
These auditions are open to artists of all genders, ages, orientations,
abilities and ethnicities. Please note this is a promenade production
with the associated strenuous requirements of performing Shakespeare
outside. Also note that while no casting is to take place prior to
auditions, four of the roles listed will be assigned to members of the
SIR Artistic Ensemble.

Charmian/Agrippa/Demetrius: Cleopatra's lady; Caesar's entourage;
Antony's entourage. (Indigenous Female)
Iras/Maecenas/Ventidius/Philo: Cleopatra's lady; Caesar's entourage;
Antony's entourage. (Indigenous Female)
Antony: Warrior. General. Triumvir of Rome. (Male)
Caesar: Triumvir of Rome. (Male)
Lepidus/Alexas/Eros: Triumvir of Rome; attendant on Cleopatra; Antony's
entourage. (Male)
Enobarbus/Menas/Dolabella: Warrior & right hand to Antony; Pompey's
entourage; Caesar's entourage. (Male)
Octavia/Soothsayer/Clown: Caesar's sister; in Cleopatra's court.
(Female)
Pompey/Mardian: Rebel threat to the Triumvirs; Eunuch in Cleopatra's
court. (Male)

Please express interest and submit photos & resume to Matt at SIR:
shakespeare at mts.net. Please indicate which role you would like to be
considered for, as well as any singing/instrumental abilities. Prepare
two contrasting Shakespeare monologues no more than 2 minutes each and
be prepared to read from sides. Only one monologue may be seen.

All roles include As Cast. 

Electronic submissions only. Those selected for an audition will be
contacted.

Additional Information: This production of Antony and Cleopatra is a
story of occupation, set on the pre-confederation plains of Manitoba
during the fur trade. 

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
