Ground Cover Theatre is an equal opportunity employer.

Additional information: 
Ground Cover Theatre is premiering a new play entitled "Displaced" about
three immigrant women from three different time periods (1847, 1947,
2007) and cultures (Irish, German and Afghani) who forge a new life for
themselves in Canada. The piece is heavily weighted in music, movement
and text. 

The show will premier as part of the Montreal Fringe Festival (June
12-21, 2015) and then will go onto the Saskatoon Fringe Festival (July
30-August 8, 2015). Other dates still TBD. 

Mary: Irish Immigrant who flees the potato famine of 1847. Early to mid
thirties. 

Sofia: German Immigrant who flees the atrocities of World War II.
Mid-late twenties to early thirties. 

Dara: Afghani refugee who flees a forced marriage. Early twenties. 

To be considered please submit a headshot and resume to
nkmartina at gmail.com. Selected individuals will be emailed the script and
assigned specific sides to prepare. Video Submissions will only be
accepted from actors outside of Saskatchewan for the role of Dara.
Preference will be given to Saskatchewan actors for the roles of Sofia
and Mary.  

Persian, Irish and German dialects are advised. 

Auditions are open to equity and non-equity actors. Actors will be
compensated along the lines of Equity's Indie 2.1-Profit Sharing
contract.
