resume. Please specify: vocal range, instruments you play & your skill
level and outline theatre training & experience.

AXIS THEATRE COMPANY is holding auditions for a BC school and Community
Theatre tour of the musical HAMELIN: A NEW FABLE by Leslie Mildiner. The
play is a musical retelling of The Pied Piper of Hamelin and will be
directed by Artistic Director Chris McGregor, with original musical
composition by Bob Buckley.

Auditions will be at CBC Studio 700 Hamilton Street 
Audition dates: June 17 - 10AM-5PM & June 18 - 10AM-5PM 

We expect to cast artists who are proficient actors, singers, dancers
and musicians. Most cast members are required to play a musical
instrument and the versatility to play multiple characters is required.
Each performer will also use physical theatre skills and be responsible
for puppet manipulation and mask work. 

The auditions will be a cold read of short scenes from HAMELIN.
A few songs from the show will be made available to sing at the audition
with an accompanist.

If you play a musical instrument please bring one; flute/recorder, penny
whistle, horns -trombone, trumpet, saxophone, violin, guitar and
accordion (a keyboard will be provided)  

Rehearsals begin September 8th, 2015 Tour Starts Sept 21st 
The play will tour to BC elementary schools and community theatres until
late April 2016. There is a cast of FIVE  - 3 MALES & 2 FEMALES 

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
