Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: Elizabeth -
Darcy encourages and welcomes performers of all ethnic, cultural, and racial

Elizabeth - Darcy: An Adaptation of Pride and Prejudice is casting one
female-identified actor to play the parts of:

Elizabeth Bennet
Mr. Bennet
Mr. Bingley
Lydia Bennet

Elizabeth - Darcy is a two-woman, site-specific, performance which takes
place in historic spaces. The audience follows the actors from room to room
as the performance unfolds continuously over 75 minutes. This production
will take place at Toronto's Campbell House Museum and run December 13-18
2016.

This actor must:
-Be able to climb stairs
-Have an excellent RP accent
-Play between 20-30

Experience with historical social dances is an asset.
Experience with characterization work is an asset.
Familiarity with the source material is an asset.

contacted. Auditionees will be asked to prepare two monologues of their
choice, one male, one female. Monologues must be from before 1960, and at
least one must be performed in an RP accent.

cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
