Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: We are actively
seeking submissions from actors of all backgrounds, abilities, and
ethnicities and we are committed to diversity and inclusion within this
submission process.

Additional information:
The Syd and Shirley Banks Prize for Emerging Musical Theatre Artists
generously provides two musical theatre artists the opportunity to advance
their careers through financial assistance, mentorship and increased
exposure.

The Prize:
1. A $1,000 cash prize
2. A cabaret created by and starring both winners
3. A featured role in our UnCovered: Dylan & Springsteen concert
(November 14-16, 2017 at Koerner Hall and November 23 at the Burlington
Performing Arts Centre).
4. Mentorship with industry experts throughout the 2017/18 season

This opportunity is open to both Equity members and non-members who are
emerging musical theatre artists under 30 years of age, and who are
under-exposed in Toronto and its surrounding areas. The two artists selected
for this prize will be contracted under the Independent Theatre Agreement.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
