Additional information:

Sheatre is seeking 4 bilingual actors to play 2 female and 2 male teenage
roles for the remount of their award-winning TYA production of Far From
the Heart / Loin du coeur which will tour Ontario schools in September and
October.

Play Synopsis: The girls and guys are concerned about image, popularity,
and sexual conquest at The Big Party.  Felicity finds herself tormented by
her controlling boyfriend, abandoned by her friend, and raped by the guy
who seemed to want to help her. Her judgment is clouded by alcohol and
inexperience.  What can Felicity do to stand up for herself and avoid
having unwanted sex? Can her best friend help her?  Who can?  Will you?
 This is an interactive Forum Theatre production.

Audition Information:
Actors will perform in two versions of the play, one in French and one in
English, touring across Ontario. Must be fluently bilingual. Strong
improvisational skills required. Experience with rural / small towns an
asset. Non-union welcome. Clear criminal record check required in advance
of production.

Roles:
Felicity:  age 15, naïve, wants to grow up, cheerful
Rachel:  age 17, experienced, status-seeking, sexy party-girl, the best
friend
Warren: age 18, volatile, sure-of-himself, desirable, Felicity’s boyfriend
Adam:   age 18, nice guy, sly, pleasing

Audition Instructions: 2 contrasting contemporary monologues - no longer
than 2 minutes each; cold reading and improvisation

Audition Location:  locations to be announced in SUDBURY and TORONTO.

Rehearsal Dates:  September 11 - 23, 2017 -  daily, 6 days a week in Owen
Sound.
Performance Dates*:  September 25 - Oct 27, 2016 ON TOUR across the north.

Applicable travel and accommodations when on tour will be provided.

*Dates are subject to minor changes.  Tour locations to be confirmed.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
