Performances January 3-14, 2018
Rehearsals begin late November
Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under the Equity
Festival Policy.
We will contact only those applicants we wish to see.

An angry comedy about a famous radio personality, the women he assaults,
and Mr. Donkey Long-Ears, his only friend. Inspired by recent events,
JONNO takes a disturbingly honest look at the violence perpetuated against
women, and forces a light onto the men who engage in it. Fuelled by the
current conversations on victim-blaming, consent, and how to do feminism
‘right’, JONNO finds the humour and hope in the challenging and the
controversial.

Casting the roles of:
Jonno: A hip professional in his mid 40s. A silver fox, or about to be
one. His narcissism has given him a deluded sense of power which manifests
itself in sexual violence towards the women he dates.

Mr. Donkey Long Ears: A man dressed as a donkey. He is the meek,
ever-suffering conscience of Jonno.

Maureen: A women in her late 30s or early 40s, hired by Jonno’s work to
psychoanalyze him.
Bernadette: A sophisticated call girl with good comedic timing.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
