Hello List Serve,

Each Wednesday at the Roberts Street Social
Centre<http://http//www.robertsstreet.org/n/>(7 p.m.), an informal
lecture occurs as part of the Popular Education
Lecture Series. The idea is for community members to come in and talk about
certain specialties or experiences, as a means of sharing ideas and creating
discussion.

Each Wednesday in the month of April, the theme of the lectures will be *
Co-operatives*. Starting off the month of lectures is Peter Hough. Peter is
a worker's co-op expert, currently a consultant for the Canadian Worker's
Co-op Federation. He will be talking about his experiences and the viability
of Worker's Co-ops as a business model.

Roberts Street Social Centre is located at 5684 Roberts Street, just off of
Agricola St., a couple of blocks north of Cunard St. The lectures begin at 7
p.m.

Next week (April 13) in the Co-op Lecture Series, Hillary Lindsay will be
talking about the Halifax Media Co-op.

Thank you! We hope you'll join the conversation.

The Organizers of Pop-Ed (Michael Anderson, Sam Sternberg, Jessica Ross)
