POSITION TITLE:EDUCATION ASSISTANT (Intern position)
MUSIC DEPARTMENT
3 MONTH CONTRACT

The Canadian Opera Company is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic
education assistant to work within the department to assist with the
potential expansion and alterations to existing programming.

The successful candidate will assist with further developing the After
School Opera Programme and with researching possible long-term collaborators
for other projects, along with the general running of the department.

This is a full time 3 month entry-level position, ideally suited to a young
arts and music graduate or trainee teacher with a passion for the arts.
They would also have to show some experience of working with young people in
a creative capacity.  It would be useful if the candidate were a practical
musician.

Selection will take place by formal interview (November 12th) and the call
back will involve a practical workshop in the week of November 19th, 2001.

The starting date would be January 2nd, 2002.
