Kevin's Modern Dance Class is for everyone who needs more dance in their 
lives. Expressive and athletic, it makes for a fantastic, fun way to get
in shape.

Kevin Bergsma is a professional Modern Dancer & Butoh Artist, living in 
Vancouver. With over twenty years experience in a broad range of 
disciplines, Kevin presently performs with Kokoro Dance, Vancouver Dance 
Theatre, in Film & TV and is also co-artistic director of Butoh-A-Go-Go 
with creative partner, Thomas Anfield .

Drawing from Ballet, Modern, Yoga and Butoh techniques, Kevin's class 
starts calm and slow, focusing on deep breathing. Gradually it 
progresses into stretching and strengthening exercises,  while 
developing stamina and technique.

Once the class is warm and hearts are beating strong and steady, it is 
time to DANCE. Kevin leads the class through poetic dance combinations 
working on freedom of personal expression and motivational imagery.
