Buddies in Bad Times Theatre's Artistic Director David Oiye will be auditioning for the role of NICK for their production of Homage which will run in the Chamber from Oct 1 - 20, 2002. The play is written by James Harkness (Pills) and directed by David Oiye.
NICK is a thirty-something, second generation, Italian-Canadian living in a small Ontario town as the town's only accountant. He arrives at the home of his neighbours who have passed away, to confront JIM, the prodigal gay son who has come home to inherit the family farm and who has succeeded only in drinking the farm into bankruptcy. In their meeting NICK confronts JIM's need to turn his back on family tradition, but is also made uncomfortably aware of his own desire to distance himself from his ethnic roots.
