Open Call LION KING & MAMMA MIA - Winnipeg

OPEN CALL AUDITIONS

FOR FUTURE REPLACEMENTS FOR THE CANADIAN COMPANIES OF THE LION KING &
MAMMA MIA


The Lion King & Mamma Mia! feature performers of all backgrounds.  We
are seeking strong male and female singers, for characters in their late
teens to early 40's, who move well and also strong hip hop/jazz dancers,
for characters in late teens to mid 30's.  Acrobatic skills are a plus.

Singing Call:  Saturday November 2, 2002 - Sign-in between 9:00 am and
12:00 noon.

Required: Men & women, 18-40 yrs. character age.   1 or 2 brief pop
songs with music in your key.  No music theatre tunes.  A pianist will
be provided. Please bring a photo (or snapshot) & resume.

Dance Call:  Sunday November 3, 2002 - Late teens to mid 30's character
age. Have comfortable clothes to move in.  Bring jazz shoes, sneakers or
character shoes and colourful funky beachwear.  Also prepare one pop
song with sheet music.  Please provide us with a photo (or snapshot) and
resume.  No professional experience required.

Female Sign-In Sunday:  9:00 am.  Dancing begins @ 9:15 am sharp.

Male Sign-In Sunday:  1:15 pm.  Dancing begins @ 2:00 pm sharp.

Location for all auditions:  Manitoba Theatre Centre, 174 Market Avenue,
Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Equity members will be seen first at all open calls Auditions will
continue until everyone is seen.
