Audition Notice for Friday, march 7, at the Actra Boardroom on Hollis
St.    Halifax

ONE EAR UP PRODUCTIONS of Prince Edward Island is casting for a summer
run of MENOPOSITIVE! THE MUSICAL on Prince Edward Island between the end
of June and mid-September. 

We are looking for women between the ages of 45 and 60, with great
singing voices, adequate dancing skills, terrific comedic and dramatic
acting skills and a facility for foreign dialects.

Kate (Phillips) Harmon - "a woman of 53, wearing a nondescript coat, and
with a pack on her back. There's a look of old hippie about her". A
recovering alcoholic, always ready with a joke, kind, vulnerable,
terrific comedian hiding a lost, dark place inside. (belting mezzo)

Zsu Zsu Herendy (must have convincing Hungarian accent) the school
janitor, former star in Hungary before the Communists over-ran it,
outrageous, flamboyant, over-bearing, loving, she has come through hell,
scarred but unbowed. (belting alto)

We would like to see one acting piece and one song (to be sung
accappella). You may be asked to read from the script and go through a
simple choreography routine.
