Theatre Conference
March 6, 7, & 8, 2003
The conference is for the professional theatre community of British
Columbia taking place on Granville Island in Vancouver.
A variety of workshops led by professional with special expertise will
lead each session with topics ranging from the business to the artistic
areas of theatre. The workshops address issues of actors, playwrights,
technical staff, marketing, keeping rehearsal fresh and inspired and
structuring an effective Board, just to name a few.
The Keynote Speaker - Christopher Newton
There will be workshops specifically addressing the technical
professional which include artistic directors giving advise on
networking and establishing yourself as a technical professional;
another one to include computerized technology and how it may affect
budget, job market and art, as well as a workshop discussing the
challenges a stage manager faces - the juggling act it requires to keep
everything in balance.
