Young Company Apprenticeship - Stage Management

Apprenticeship dates: early August 2003-early September 2004

The Young Company Apprenticeship program is designed for individuals
with post secondary theatre training, who are bridging the gap into the
professional world.  It provides an opportunity for a full year of
experience working in a professional producing theatre.  The position
includes:

ASM under our resident and guest Stage Managers on 4 Centre Stage
productions.
Stage Manager for two Theatre for Young Audiences productions.
Assistant to our Production Manager.
Coordination of the schedule for the entire Young Company 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a willingness to
learn.

Qualifications:  You must have the intention to become a professional
Stage Manager.  A prospective candidate should possess strong
organizational and interpersonal skills, with a firm knowledge of
rehearsal procedures and protocol.  Previous experience in handling
emergencies and the ability to think clearly in a high-pressure
environment is essential.
