JOB OPPORTUNITY: General Manager
--------------------------------

Northern Light Theatre is looking for an outgoing person with a strong
background in financial management, administrative management and
communications. Applicants should have experience with MacIntosh
computers,(MS Word, Excel, Filemaker Pro, MYOB Accounting, and other
related programs)
and a knowledge of the non-profit performing arts sector with a minimum
of 3 years experience in the field as an arts administrator.

The position involves but is not limited to the following:
... Tending to all company financial matters including but not limited
to, payroll, payables, receivables, preparing and following a budget and
any
other day to day financial responsibilities.

... Prepare monthly progress reports including financial updates for the
Board of Directors meetings.

... Working closely with the Artistic Director to accomplish all the
production elements of the theatrical season.

... Tend to all none financial day to day activities which are
administratively necessary to make the office run smoothly

... Work with the Artistic Director on writing all grants, government
applications, corporate proposals and other funding applications.

... Contracting the artistic and production staff for all NLT
productions and projects and ensuring those contracts adhere to all
union and association
guidelines, ie; CAEA, IATSE, PACT, ACTRA

... Liaise with various levels of Government, the corporate and private
sector on funding issues.

This is a full-time position with salary and benefits. Closing date for
