AUDITIONS - VANCOUVER

Vancouver Opera will be holding auditions for Chorus, Small  Roles and
the Opera in the Schools Program on May 6 & 7, 2004 
 at the Tom Lee Music Hall.
 
 Audition requirements are as follows:
 
 Chorus:

 Three opera arias - one in Italian, one in German and one in
 a language of your choice.  Oratorio and art song selections 
 are not permitted.  Arias must be sung in the original 
 language and not in translation.
 
 Opera in the Schools -
 
 The touring show for 2004/2005 (September - November;
 February - April) will be Hansel and Gretel.
 
 Three opera arias - one in English, one in Italian, and one
 in a language of your choice.  Arias must be sung in the 
 original language.
 
 Mainstage small roles:
 Five opera arias of your choice to be sung in at least three  different
languages.  Arias must be sung in the original language.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
