Lighthouse Festival Theatre Corporation is a successful theatre in Port
Dover, Ontario, Canada, seeking a dynamic individual to fill the
position of Artistic Director.

Founded in 1980, Lighthouse Festival Theatre is a professional theatre
company devoted to research, development and production of new Canadian
plays. Our mission is to develop more innovative programming and more
originality in presentation, while providing and creating a sound
infrastructure to support this challenge.

The successful candidate will have formal actor's training, be dynamic
and creative, with an understanding of and appreciation for the
importance of community. S/he will have played a leadership role in
other organizations and will have demonstrated abilities in the areas of
grant writing, artistic administration and production.

The Artistic Director works in concert with the Administrative Director
and reports to the theatre board of directors.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing artistic leadership and direction to Lighthouse Festival
Theatre and all its programs Selecting and recommending artists,
designers and a production team for all shows and programs To complete
and manage each season's budget in conjunction with the Administrative
Director, and to deliver programs within those budgets Complete grant
applications and reports as required Oversee "Another Stage" Young
Company program for each season of this contract Direct, at his
discretion, a minimum of two main stage shows each season Attend weekly
meetings, board meetings, and/or pertinent meetings as required Oversee
and conduct writers' workshop (Playwright's Festival) each season of
this contract
