Auditions for the 2004-2005 Season

TORONTO AUDITION DATES: JULY 12-14, 2004

If you wish to be considered for an audition send your resume,
photograph and a covering letter expressing your interest in working at 
the Sudbury Theatre Centre. Clearly state your Equity Status. STC is a
PACT theatre and operates under the CTA. STC is a category E House. This

means that the weekly Equity minimums will apply to all Equity
contracts. Auditions are by invitation only. Due to the number of 
requests we receive, only those candidates who are invited to audition
will be contacted. If you have an e-mail address please include it. 
We will not accept faxed or e-mailed photos and resumes. Please do not
call the theatre. Artists who have not worked for STC in the past four 
years should prepare one modern monologue no more than three minutes
long. Artists who have worked at STC in the past four years and wish to 
return please let us know. Thank you.

We are casting for the following plays and musicals:

The Melville Boys by Norm Foster (Contract: Sept 14-Oct 17, 2004) 1 male
actor mid 30's working class 1 male actor late 20's working class 1
female actor early 30's 1 female actor mid 20's

The Jungle Book Adapted from Rudyard Kipling's stories By Neil Duffield 
and Music by Eric Hughes (Contract: Nov 20-Dec 19, 2004) Theatre for
Young Audiences 3 male actors to play multiple roles 3 female actors to
play multiple roles Must be able to sing, dance, move well, be energetic
and imaginative.  
Multiple roles include tigers, wolves, bears, panthers and humans.

Forever Plaid by Stuart Ross (Contract: Jan 4-30, 2005)
4 male singers early 20's

The Mystery of Irma Vep by Charles Ludlam (Contract: Feb 1-March 6,
2005) 2 male actors Mid 30's to Early 40's to portray 8 characters in
this quick chance gothic farce. Must be 
proficient in various English accents and outrageous comedy.

Marion Bridge By Daniel MacIvor (Contract March 15 to April 10, 2005) 3
female actors late 20's to late 30's

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum By Stephen Sondheim, Burt

Shevelove and Larry Gelbart (Contract: April 19 to May 29, 2005) 10 male
character actors who sing well 2 female character actors who sing well 6
female Dancers/Singers

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
