Actors Needed for Research Study - Vancouver

The Cognition and Emotion Lab in the Psychology Department at UBC is 
conducting a study with actors who have been trained in method acting 
techniques to address these questions. Each participant would be
required to 
attend our lab on the UBC campus once, for a three hour session, and
would 
receive $30 cash for their participation.

Participants will first complete a set of standardized personality tests
and 
then will be asked to induce either a pleasant mood, an unpleasant mood
or 
both a pleasant and unpleasant mood through music and thought. In these
mood 
states, participants will do four tasks: 
a) recollect events from his/her past in response to common words 
b) describe personality characteristics of various fictional persons 
c) relate the theme or story conveyed by various drawings 
d) estimate the likelihood or probability of various future events.

Participants must have training in method acting and also have at least
3 
years professional experience as an actor.

Sessions will be running throughout the summer.  Each participant is
only 
eligible to participate once.
