Pu-Erh
Playwright / NORMAN YEUNG
Director & Dramaturge / KEIRA LOUGHRAN
Hours before Raymond leaves his family to move to another city, he has a
conversation with his father. Despite the son not being able to speak
Cantonese, and the father not being able to speak English, the two
reconcile their conflicts: regrets, ambitions, and years of silence.
Pu-Erh received a staged reading at Factory Theatre in April, 2005. The
full production will be at SummerWorks Theatre Festival in Toronto in
August, 2005. The venue will be Theatre Passe Muraille Backspace.
Considered a "standout" and "emotionally rich" by NOW Magazine.

Character is Asian male aged 40 - 60. Must be able to speak both
