"Driftwood - A Retelling of the Adventures of Pinocchio"

TYA (schools and community theatre tour of BC)

This fast-moving, physical comedy with music for young audiences has
many characters all played by two actors.  

Main Characters:  

Sam -  A surly pre-teen who is physically adept but out of his league at
school.  Doesn't like people, responsibility or authority.  He returns
home from his adventure a different child.  Young look, high energy,
singing, puppetry, physical theatre, mask and mime are all assets.

Josephine - As a strong, humorous older woman making her living selling
junk out of a cart, she loves making disenfranchised kids more at home
in their lives.  She uses magic, puppets and masks, to play the
characters in Sam's adventure.   High energy, singing, puppetry, mask,
physical theatre training and mime are all assets.

Contract dates Jan 16th - March 17, 2006

***Axis Theatre Company is also looking for a stage manager for this
tour. Class 4 drivers license a major asset. ***
