Theatre Cares Vancouver is a volunteer-based organization that unites
the generous spirit of Vancouver's performing arts community with its
supporters to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS relief and other
worthy causes.

Each year, proceeds are divided among HIV/AIDS relief agencies, the
Actors' Fund of Canada and a third charity, selected annually by the
committee. During Theatre Cares Week each February, Vancouver's theatres
help raise funds for these all-important charities.

For 2006, the 25-year "anniversary" of the onset of the AIDS epidemic,
all funds raised by Theatre Cares will go to HIV and AIDs-related
charities. Our "third charity" this year is Camp Moomba, a summer camp
for children with HIV/AIDS that is run by the Western Paediatric AIDS
Society.
