CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - BRAMPTON

A.C.T Productions of the Brampton Theatre Office is excited to announce
a call for new Canadian plays for the 1st annual Brampton Flowercity
Theatre Festival.  The festival will replace 6 years of Shakespeare in
the Square & 2 years of the NewWorks Festival.

Plays will be produced in full by A.C.T. Productions at the Heritage
Theatre.  The Heritage Theatre is a converted movie theatre with a
24'x24' stage with no wings or backstage.  Playwrights must keep this in
mind when submitting.

The selected playwright will receive an honourarium of $1000.00.  Plays
will be read & discussed by a selection committee.  All applicants will
be contacted & notified on the status of their submission.

Submission requirements:
-Must be a comedy (to balance Festival)
-Require minimal sets that can be set up & struck each day
-Please include breakdown of set requirements
-Small cast (less than 6)
-Mail copy of the script (bound or in a binder) with complete contact

enclose a self-addressed envelope
-Submission deadline: Friday January 27 @ 5:00pm.
-Selections will be made by Friday February 10.
