2006 EQUITY ELECTION - NOMINATION BY PETITION DEADLINE IS JULY 15

There is still time to register to run for office in Equity's 2006
elections. 

Interested candidates may self-nominate. All a would-be candidate needs
is a Nomination by Petition form, signed by five members in good
standing and submitted to Equity's Communications Director by July 15th,
2006. Nomination by Petition forms are available online at www.caea.com.

Elected Councillor positions remain uncontested in the Eastern Opera and
the Dance regions.

Councillor(s) Policy Advisory Group member positions are open in the
regions of Eastern Opera, Quebec, Manitoba & Nunavut, Saskatchewan,
North Alberta, South Alberta, Stage Management - Western Opera and
Alberta North and Dance.

Election candidates must also submit written statements for publication
in the September issue of the Equity News by July 15, 2006. Written
statements should not be longer than 250 words. Please send your
information by email to communications at caea.com. An electronic photo of
each candidate will be published along with each candidate's election
statement.
