The Overcoat

Presented in Association with the Citadel Theatre and Theatre Calgary
Auditions will be held June 12, 2006 in Toronto
Rehearsals begin in Toronto January 29, 2007

The Overcoat, based on a short story by Nikolai Gogol and set to music
by Dmitri Shostakovich, is a fascinating weave of movement, dance and
storytelling. Those selected to audition will be asked to prepare a
two-minute movement piece set to music of their choice. Actors must
bring their music on a CD.

Send submissions no later than Monday, May 29, 2006 to Katherine
Grainger, CanStage, 26 Berkeley Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 2W3. We
invite resumes from artists of diverse cultures and ethnicities. We are
accepting resumes from both Equity and Non-Equity performers. Clearly
note on resume Equity and ACTRA status. Submit a hard copy resume/photo
only - no phone calls or emails - thanks. Only those selected for an
audition will be contacted.
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
