CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - TORONTO
------------------------------
Burning Passions Theatre is now accepting resumes for a workshop of the
new Theatre for Young Audiences play, "The Reluctant Dragon" by Laurel
Smith.  The workshop will be directed by Laurel Smith and dramaturged by
David Copelin.

The workshop will consist of two full-day calls on June 15 and June 16,
with an invited guest performance on June 16th in the early evening.
The workshop will take place in central Toronto, location TBA.

Casting required:

The Boy - an intelligent, rather lonely, mature but boyish Caucasian ten
to twelve year old who loves adventure and reading in equal parts.

The Dragon - a 30-something male warrior of Middle Eastern, Pakistani or
East Indian descent, world weary with a wonderful sense of humour and a
poetic soul.

Mother/Mayor - a 30-something Caucasian soldier's wife, no-nonsense but
deeply loving of her family and community.

Father/Soldier - a 30-something Caucasian soldier, world weary but
pragmatic, with the secret soul of an artist that is well hidden.

We are accepting resumes from Equity and non-Equity performers.  Please
clearly note on resume Equity and ACTRA status.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, June 4th and Monday, June 5th.
Please indicate in your submission your date and time preference.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls.  Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract.
