DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND DEVELOPMENT

BirdLand Theatre, non-profit Toronto based theatre and a winner of 5
Dora Mavor Moore Awards for the production of "The Last Days of Judas
Iscariot", is currently seeking Director of Marketing and Development.

Responsibilities: 
- Developing portfolio with annual goal of $500,000
- Researching new institutional funders
- Strategizing and supervising proposals for new and renewed annual
support, as well as for prospective advancement campaign
- Maintaining relationships with existing funders and cultivating new
partnerships
- Overseeing gift processing
- Working on Marketing to implement corporate sponsorship program
- Planning acknowledgment and cultivation events
- Collaborating on production of collateral materials
- During first six month Director of Development will focus on the
productions of "The Pillowman " by Martin McDonagh and re-mount of the
Dora Award winning "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot"

Minimum three years of development experience, preferably in arts
organization, including direct contact with board members, funding
executives, program staff.
