CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - EDMONTON

Interested and available Edmonton (and area) actors are invited to
submit a photo and resume by e-mail for consideration for the upcoming
University of Alberta Studio Theatre production of The Elephant Man, by
Bernard Pomerance, directed by MFA candidate Michael Peng at the Timms
Centre for the Arts.  

Availability: Rehearsals begin in Edmonton on Monday, April 14 and the
production runs from May 15 to May 24.

Roles: 
John Merrick (male, 25-40). Guileless, perceptive, spiritual. Movement
background an asset. 
No one with a history of back problems should consider the role. 

Frederick Treves (male, 30-45). A man of science. Enlightened, capable,
successful, controlled. 

Mrs. Kendal (female, 35-45). A breath of fresh air. Clever, strong,
beautiful, compassionate. Nudity required. 

Bishop Walsham How (male, 30-50). High church Anglican, earnest,
headstrong. 

Ross (male, 30-50). Merrick's show manager. Harsh, pragmatic,
opportunistic; a salesman.

Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview/audition in
Edmonton. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under a
Guest Artist contract.
