Reporting to the General Manager, the Arts Administrative Intern will
provide support in the areas of:

*       Public and media relations
*       Marketing
*       Grant preparation and reporting
*       Fundraising
*       General administration

There is additional opportunity for the Administrative Intern to work
with the Artistic Director by assisting with a series of new play
development workshops. Duties would include creating production
schedules, breaking down production elements of a script, production
budgeting, contracting artists, and lining up interviews with designers
and auditions with actors.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized,
demonstrates excellent communication (particularly written), and
problem-solving skills, and has intermediate computer proficiency. The
candidate should also be available to work some evenings and weekends. A
background in theatre, including production and a driver's license would
be assets. 

This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week.

The successful candidate will receive training and mentorship, while
being provided with networking opportunities.
