The Chemainus Theatre Festival, a professional producing theatre working with CAEA under the Independent Theatre Agreement on scenic Vancouver Island BC, is seeking an Apprentice Stage Manager for the 2009 season production of "Ah, Wilderness!" by Eugene O'Neill directed by Jeremy Tow. Apprenticeship dates:  March 23, 2009 - May 23 2009. Application deadline: November 14, 2009 Primary position components: Assistant Stage Manager under an Equity Stage Manager. The ASM will be eligible for an Equity Apprentice credit.
Qualifications: 
 Intention to become a professional Stage Manager. 
 Strong organizational and people skills.
 A good knowledge of rehearsal procedures and protocol. 
 Experience and resourcefulness in handling emergencies.
