Dynamic Creation-Based Workshops
The Movement and Music Techniques of Theatre Gargantua


Half-day workshops led by core members of the Gargantua ensemble
including Artistic Director Jacquie P.A. Thomas and
Playwright-in-Residence Michael Spence.

This workshop offers an exciting opportunity for professional actors to
experience Theatre Gargantua's critically acclaimed method of creating
imagistic physical music theatre.

Participants will be instructed in Theatre Gargantua's distinctive style
of creation, including training in movement, voice, and text
exploration/creation. Working closely with Theatre Gargantua's core
creative ensemble, actors will be given tools to develop original
movement and vocal compositions and will learn how to integrate these
creations with text.

Monday, November 3rd : 10 AM to 1 PM

Space is limited to 8 participants
The Lower Ossington Theatre, 100A Ossington Avenue
Book early. Last years dates sold out.

Cost for one session $90
Equity members $70

MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITION MASTER CLASS with NYC director and teacher
MIRIAM FOND.  "Find out what they say about you after you leave the
room."  This one-day WORKSHOP focuses on the SINGING aspect of the
'triple threat' audition. Sunday, November 23rd OR Monday, November 24th
from 10am to 4pm. 
In addition to working on your audition material, topics include song
selection, preparation, when to change your song choice, and how to read
the audition panel.  Get the most out of your musical theatre auditions
and be the best prepared singer/actor they meet. 
Location: 651 Dufferin Street Studios (formerly Equity Showcase Theatre)
at Dufferin and Dundas.
