The show is almost entirely sung-through with complex harmonies,
requiring actors with strong music reading skills and good movement
abilities.
Available roles:
GORDON (Tenor or Baritone - to high G): A vulnerable, loveable and
sarcastic composer struck with a brain disorder. 25-40.
MR. BUNGEE (Baritone - to high G): The cranky star of a children's show
who torments Gordon. 30-55.
RHODA (Mezzo/Belter - to Bb, mix to D): Gordon's business manager and
friend. Sarcastic and straightforward. 30-50.
LISA (Alto/Belter - low F to Eb): A wise, yet tough homeless lady.
25-55.
RICHARD (Baritone - low G to high G): A compassionate nurse considering
himself "poor, unsuccessful, and fat". Should be played by an actor with
a healthy gut. 20-55.
MINISTER (High Tenor - comfortable with B-flats): A hospital employee
with a drinking problem. 25-55.
DR. BERENSTEINER (Baritone - low G to high F): Gordon's unsympathetic
doctor. 25-60.
Roles are open to performers of all ethnicities and backgrounds.
