YORK SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL 2009
SEEKING A DIRECTOR FOR THE LITTLE PRINCE

Resurgence Theatre Co. in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a director for their 11th York Shakespeare Festival season. The successful applicant will be responsible for directing our production of The Little Prince based on the novella by Antoine de Saint Exupéry.

The Little Prince will play in rep with Romeo and Juliet directed by Lee Wilson. Rehearsals will start June 22nd for an opening of July 14th, 2009.

Deadline: Monday, February 2nd 2009.

Resurgence Theatre Company's mandate is to enrich cultural life in York Region through professional theatre by presenting illuminating productions of Shakespeare and innovative contemporary theatre works; educating and developing the artists of tomorrow and fostering local partnerships and community involvement in order to promote cultural growth. The York Shakespeare Festival is an annual event since 1999 at Fairy Lake Park in Newmarket, Ontario through which RTC has come to be known as a vibrant, theatre company embracing the passion, enthusiasm and creativity of a new generation of theatre performers.
