2009 - 2012 STRATFORD SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL ADDENDUM TO THE CTA UP FOR
RATIFICATION BY MEMBERSHIP

Equity has successfully reached a tentative deal with the Stratford
Shakespeare Festival for renewal of a three-year Stratford Shakespeare
Festival Addendum to the Canadian Theatre Agreement.

The proposed changes are subject to ratification by the affected Equity
membership. The Addendum will be extended until December 20, 2009 in
order to facilitate the ratification.

Ratification packages, including a ratification ballot and a copy of the
proposed changes to the 2009 - 2012 Addendum together with detailed
explanatory notes, have now been mailed to Equity members in good
standing who worked under the Addendum during the 2006-2009 term.

Equity members who are currently away from home or who have recently
moved and not yet updated their mailing address with the Association
should contact Equity's National Office for further information.

Any eligible voter who does not receive a ballot by November 19, 2009 is
encouraged to contact Equity's National Office for assistance.

In order to be sure your ballot is received in time to be counted, mail
your completed ballot not later than Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Only
ballots received in Equity's national office prior to 5:00 p.m. EST on
Wednesday, December 16, 2009 will be counted. 

Results will be announced as soon as possible after the ballot count on
December 17, 2009
