Assistant Stage Manager

Pacific Opera Victoria (POV) is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager to
join its production team for the 10-11 Season. The position encompasses
four engagements:

September 3 to October 10, 2010 Cinderella, Rossini
October 15 to November 21, 2010 Rodelinda, Handel
January 21 to February 27, 2011 La Boheme - Puccini
April 1 to May 8, 2011 Vanessa - Barber

The candidate will be joining a resident production and stage management
team in a dynamic company that produces a diverse repertoire through
innovative original productions.

The individual will have confidence in stage management systems, will be
proficient in reading music, and demonstrate key leadership and
organizational skills in an Equity, AFM and IATSE working environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in opera or musical
theatre and demonstrate a keen interest in maintaining productive
relationships with artists, production and music staff.

This position shall be engaged under the auspices of The Opera
Agreement, Canadian Actors' Equity Association, and salary commensurate
with Point of Origin minimum fees.
