Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Candidates of all ethnic/cultural backgrounds are strongly encouraged to
submit. Our goal is to create a cast that is culturally representative
of the Toronto we see on the streetcar.

Additional information:
Adapted from Margaret Atwood's Penelopiad for six women and six puppets.
Created and performed by the ensemble around a compilation of scenes,
monologues, music, dance and songs, that explore the relationship
between women and servitude. Old style cabaret with a contemporary
twist.

Selected candidates will be asked to prepare a 2-3 minute piece which
combines spoken text with at least one of the following: song, movement,
stand-up, a musical instrument or special skill. Auditions will be
conducted in English but if you speak another language you may be asked
to incorporate it. Be prepared to sing and move.
