TORONTO -  Tarragon Theatre is pleased to announce that their 2010/11
benefit for the Actors' Fund will be a pay-what-you-can staged reading
of David Freeman's Creeps  on Monday, 0ctober 4th  at 8 pm.  Tickets for
will be available at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Creeps, then directed  by  founding Artistic Director Bill Glassco,
launched Tarragon Theatre's inaugural season on October 5th, 1971.  This
reading, directed by Nigel Shawn Williams marks the 40th   anniversary
of one of Toronto's most loved theatres. 

Tarragon Theatre has long been a strong supporter of the Fund, holding
annual benefits and making regular opening night donations.  General
Manager, Camilla Holland expressed her enthusiasm for the event, saying
"As Tarragon celebrates
forty years of producing great plays, we're grateful for the work that
the Actors' Fund does in supporting the people who write, direct and act
in them.  Without an organization like the Fund our community would lose
some of its brightest stars to more secure industries and theatres would
suffer as a result. Holding an annual benefit is a way for us to not
only help members of the community in need, but the community as a
whole. "
