EFT is accepting submissions for roles in the premiere of a new musical
about Adele Hugo.

Adele Hugo: A fiery and creative misfit in her father's literary
society, she longs for escape and fulfillment and eventually finds it in
a forbidden love.  Late 20s. Mezzo-Soprano (G3 - F#5)

Victor Hugo: The most famous and wealthy man of letters in Europe, he is
a dominating force of nature who both protects and stifles his children.
Late 50s. Baritone (A2 - Gb4)

Albert Pinson: A dashing young Lieutenant in the English army who
treasures his freedom and falls in love with the wrong woman.  Late 20s.
(A2 - Bb4)

Madam Baa: A Barbadian sorceress and healer who plays several magical
roles in the story.  Her devotion to Adele's wellbeing leads her to
Paris and the arms of Victor Hugo.  30s to 50s. Alto (Ab3 - D5)

Leopoldine: Hugo's other daughter whose drowning was the great sorrow of
her father's life.  This actor also plays various young women's roles in
the play.  Mid-late 20s. Mezzo-Soprano (A3 - F#5)

Rehearsal begins October 17 and run concludes November 20, 2011.

Auditions will take place in Halifax and Toronto, dates and locations to
be determined.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
