In our desire to encourage and reflect the world and our community on
our stage, The Grand Theatre encourages racially diverse actors to
submit resumes

In attendance:  Heather Davies (Director), Ryan De Souza (MD), Kerry
Gage (Choreographer)
Successful candidates will be contacted during the week of May 30th to
schedule an audition.  Audition details will be explained at that time.

Characters include:
Cinderella: early 20's, patient, kind, with natural elegance, a 'diamond
in the rough'
Fairy Godmother: she's timeless yet contemporary, with lots of magic and
spirit.
Stepmother: Determined to find excellent husbands for her two daughters
Grace, awkward stepsister: She longs to get married, lacks in social
graces and is thrilled about going to the ball.
Joy, sullen stepsister: keen to find a husband, feisty, sometimes
grumpy, she's keen to marry a prince.
Christopher, a charming young prince: he longs to marry for love, rather
than obligation- and until now, he's lead a sheltered life.
Queen Constantina- his mother: Keen to find an appropriate princess for
her son, she arranges a ball. She married for love and is a loving
mother.
King Maximillian- his father: Married for love and knows when to allow
his wife to pursue her ideas.
Lionel, the royal steward: loyal servant to the royal family, a great
organizer and 'right-hand man'.
Strong M and F singer/dancers needed for ensemble roles.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
