REFERENDUM ON INCREASE TO BASIC DUES - NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP FORUMS

After maintaining the same basic dues level for over a decade, Equity's national Council has initiated a referendum on an increase to basic dues to adjust for inflation and higher business costs.

Equity members will want to make an informed decision, and Council is holding a series of online and teleconference forums regarding the Dues Referendum on:
- November 14 
  - 7:00 p.m. Atlantic time zone
  - 7:00 p.m. Central time zone 
  - 7:00 p.m. Pacific time zone
- November 21 
  - 7:00 p.m. Eastern time zone
  - 7:00 p.m. Mountain time zone
President Allan Teichman and Executive Director Arden R Ryshpan will be on hand at all member forums. You may attend whichever meeting is most convenient for you.

The online forums will run in any modern browser, and will include audio and video from Equity's National Office. Participants may post questions through a chat window. To access the online forum, please connect to
http://caea.adobeconnect.com/referendum2011/ before or during any of the five start times.

For those who are unable to, or who prefer not to connect online, a teleconference link to each forum will be available at the same time. We will periodically ask for questions from phone participants. Dial 1-888-289-4573, and enter 9390733# (include the # sign) when prompted.

Any eligible voter who does not receive a ballot by Tuesday, November 15, or who has a question regarding the voting service by Internet or telephone, is encouraged to contact the voter help line at 1-800-387-1856 (416-867-9165 in Toronto) for assistance. The voter help line is staffed 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET weekdays.

Paper ballots must be mailed by November 25 to ensure delivery. Voting closes at 5:00 p.m. PT on December 8, and the results will be announced on December 9, 2011.
