CASTING:

LANCE
Grade 6
Lance is 11 years old and is the "smartest kid in school".  He uses big
words and has a hard time relating to other students his age. 
He desperately wants to win the 500-word story contest and puts pressure
on himself to succeed.

SYLVIA
Grade 3
Sylvia is almost 9 years old and in grade three.  She is easily
excitable, has a wild imagination and is a talented artist. 
It is becoming harder for her to hide the fact that she has not yet
learned to read.
