Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: We encourage submissions from artists of all cultural backgrounds.

Additional information: Canadian Stage Artistic and General Director Matthew Jocelyn has announced a call for actor submissions for General Auditions for our 2012-13 season.

Please submit a hard copy résumé and photo by 5pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.

- Please note on CV ACTRA and Equity status and training.
- Please specify if you wish to sing a musical piece in addition to performing a monologue.
- Artists currently enrolled full-time in a post secondary conservatory training program will be seen at the Theatre Ontario Showcase and therefore will not be given a separate General Audition at this time.
- Please note that actors who were given a General Audition last year will not be contacted this year.
- Please staple your headshot to the back of your CV. Cover letters should not be stapled.

Performers selected for a theatre audition should prepare two contrasting monologues, each under 2 minutes in length.

Performers selected for a musical audition should prepare 16 bars of one contemporary song in addition to the monologues.  An accompanist will be provided. 

Performers may be asked to perform only one monologue during their audition.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
