Adult Acting Fundamentals with Stephen Atkins

Learn the fundamentals of acting, including action, relaxation,
objective, spontaneity, emotion, monologues, texts, projection,
presence, character analysis, text analysis. Improvisation, exercises,
and games will be done in each class to facilitate learning and
self-discovery.

This course develops a working knowledge of Meisner Technique: an
inter-dependent series of training exercises that upon each other.

With a particular focus on physical theatre, students will engage in
movement training, storytelling and improvisation. Incorporating many
theatre forms including clown, puppetry, Viewpoints, and Chekhov, the
course explores the art of ensemble theatre creation. The emphasis of
this workshop is on the process of generating original material,
physicalizing theatrical ideas and active play as a method of creation.
