On Friday, August 2nd, Equity and ACTRA jointly submitted a brief to the Federal Government's Standing Committee on Finance for the pre-budget consultations for the 2014 budget. In these times, when "austerity" is the prevailing philosophy for our government, it is important that members of the arts community send strong and consistent messages about the value of preserving funding to the arts.
