Additional information: The workshop of Charlotte: A tricoloured play
with music runs from August 18, 2014 - September 6, 2014. This is an
exclusive 3 week contract and the pay scale will be the CTA workshop
rate.

Life? Or Theatre? is the name that Berlin-born Jewish artist Charlotte
Salomon gave to a sequence of nearly 800 gouaches accompanied by text
and musical references that she produced between 1940 and 1942. Before
her deportation to Auschwitz at age 26, she handed the work to a local
physician. Miraculously, her extraordinary magnus opus survived.
An ensemble of six actor/singers (including Alon Nashman) and five
musicians will provocatively employ the interdisciplinary character of
music theatre with Salomon's paintings and text serving as scenographic
inspiration. The theatrical story will emerge from the intersection of
the visual art, poetry, music, and love that framed her life.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
