Canadian Stage RBC Emerging Artist Program: 2014.15 Director Development

The program will run from September 2014 to July 2015 and will support
two stage directors

This program is designed for professional stage directors who wish to
explore approaches to contemporary performance practice, production, and
administration in a national and international context. The program is
ideally suited for directors invested in pushing their practice toward
large-scale or main stage work. Artists will spend the 2014.15 season
with Canadian Stage, seeing performances and meeting on a regular basis
with staff members and guest artists. Participants are granted rehearsal
space and resources toward the development of a creative project which
will receive a work-in-progress showing at the Berkeley Street Theatre
in 2015. 

Participation in this program is free, but it requires a substantial
time commitment. Applicants should estimate bi-monthly meetings,
bi-monthly performances or events, and two weeks of project development
including a work-in-progress showing during one of the following time
periods: February 8-21, March 7-20, or April 11-24, 2015.
